I am an undergraduate student at Poli/UFRJ since 2016, where I am pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering and Information. When I started college, I had to face an unexpected environment. Teaching methodologies involve a lot of pressure and little didactics. I found myself in Computer and Society classes, where Professor Henrique Cukierman guided the students' gaze to reflect on social problems. During the lessons, several topics were addressed that involved social, economic, and historical issues, leading students to develop critical thinking and to question patterns. I stand in favor of an university (UFRJ) more concerned with the well-being of the students and more accessible to all.
